When it comes to racing long distances, nothing is more important than keeping the body hydrated. Getting the right nutrition or water into an athlete is key to keeping the mind and body engaged in the race. 


That is where the Hydro Buddy comes into play, to give your athlete the hydration they need in seconds. Racers will use this method to consume other liquids besides what’s in their hydration pack, or just opt out on the hydration pack all together, and grab a Hydro Buddy when passing through the pits.


The Hydro Buddy is a kit that allows you to take any 16 oz water bottle from the pits for you to consume your favorite endurance drink or water, while still racing. This simple hands free hydration kit, is for those racers who do not have the time to sit around in the pits. 


The racer skids into the pit, grabs the Hydro Buddy, and takes off to continue the race while holding the bottle with their teeth and consuming water. Once the bottle is consumed, the racer will drop the bottle from their mouth in a predetermined spot, to be thrown away appropriately. NO LITTERING! 


This pit strategy originally comes from the off-road racing world, to gain those couple extra seconds on the rider ahead. Racers from GNCC, Score International, and other off-road races will opt out on using hydration packs and use a homemade water bottle contraption to consume water or their personal endurance supplements. 


Now instead of making these homemade water dumps the night before the race with toxic tubing and duct tape from your local hardware store. You now can buy a ready to go kit to pass out to your pit crew.
